USSM was established in 2002, when a few dedicated staff from USSS moved across the
causeway to Johor Bahru to work on a few post-tensioning building projects.
Over the years, USSM has formed a strong team of 30 staff with two offices,
one in Johor Bahru and the other in Kuala Lumpur.
Together with the Singapore HQ design office, USSM’s design office serves not only
the design requirements for Malaysia, but also for Singapore and overseas projects.
With an operation team in Johor, USSM can better serve its clients from the down
south right up to Melaka, while the Kuala Lumpur operation team can handle projects
from the central zone up to the northern region of the Peninsular of Malaysia.
From the initial involvement in post-tensioned buildings, USSM has built up an
excellent post-tensioning track record in bridges and civil engineering structures,
as well as the launching of precast elements.
